moving, phase two
Aug. 25th, 2005 10:41 pmEverything that was in the closet has migrated into boxes or else into piles on the floor. The piles need one more going over and then they will join the books in the Stuff I Don't Want Anymore category. Most of the boxes have been shoved back into the closet, where I don't trip over them. The old computer has been turned back on to erase its hard drive, which takes a hell of a lot longer than I was expecting.
Writing up an 'I want to live in your house and here's what you should know about me before you say yes' essay, for blind posting to various residence-wanted boards, is proving so difficult that I have trouble even looking at what I've got for more than a few seconds in between endless games of solitaire. This should have been done last week. I think it's because if I get a flatmate incompatible with my various psychological problems I will be utterly screwed, so I have to mention all of them up front, but I'm embarrassed to do this for complete strangers. AUGH.
[ETA: Have finished the essay. 1300 words, all of which seem to be necessary. It is two-thirty in the morning, and in the next room, the old computer has just finished erasing its hard drive and turned itself off. That seems appropriately parallel. Bed now.]
