Feb. 5th, 2008 07:56 pmI have the internets at home now.
C*mc*st, in addition to charging a ridiculous amount of money for this service, managed to screw up its customer registration portal site (which should not exist in the first place), making every attempt to load a website not in their domain redirect to the first screen of the portal. After I filled out the entire form. Twice.
(Also it spammed
queenpam's registry and hard drive with useless junk.)
(And I'd like to know how the heck someone with a Mac could get past this ActiveX-enabled hurdle.)
Anyway, when I called their helpdesk about this problem, I was told to clear browser cookies and restart Internet Explorer.
This worked.
I am not able to apprehend how.
But hey. Internets! At home!
