Jan. 28th, 2005 11:56 amVery vivid dream last night in which I and a bunch of co-workers were all going to see a movie. The movie was made in the seventies, and was about the deteriorating diplomatic relations between the United States and the Soviet Union in 1945. This was metaphorized as a fictional city, which was probably supposed to be Königsberg, having giant air-conditioning units installed to make the climate more pleasant; but they got out of control and the city froze over. The poster for the movie showed the frozen city at night, with the tagline "More cooling from the giant calmers!"
The odd thing is that I woke up convinced that this was a real movie and that I'd seen the first twenty minutes of it as a small child. I can't find any evidence that it was real, though.
