interlude: meme: metro collection

The logos of all the metros that I can remember riding, courtesy b3co.com. In chronological order by first ride.

This set is pretty visually diverse, but if you look at the site, over half of them are stylized Ms. I'm no world traveler; they've got 151 cities. Also, I feel a little weird counting separate systems in the same city as different; also also, San Diego ought to be on there but isn't. (We've got a trolley. It doesn't go underground, but neither does the Berlin S-bahn.)

I checked out b3co, and noticed that the symbol for Hong Kong's metro is exactly like the so-called "Gilch", so-called "Marcomannic" rune...

Although I can't find an example, it's also used as a bindrune in the Elder Futhark, I think in a mysterious, undecipher(ed/able) inscription.

Um. The symbol b3co shows me for Hong Kong is which looks to me nothing like the Gilch rune from that set. (I see a mirror-reversed Jera from the standard Elder Futhark, instead.)
