zwolI'm writing this from a Starbucks next door to an auto mechanic in Rancho Bernardo, both of which, by the grace of God, are still open. It hasn't got here yet. The virus came out of the ocean, they're saying, and it doesn't spread that fast. Get inland.
I'm going to miss that ocean.

queenpam is with me, and as soon as the car is checked out for the long haul, we're heading for Utah. The Mormons have their act together and they're taking in refugees. I'm not going to be specific about routes. Back roads, mostly. They say the 15 is still open, but they also say Long Beach is burning. I don't want to get caught in a quarantine, assuming there still is a National Guard to enforce one. And I'm not going anywhere near Las Vegas.
Is it weird I'm glad this happened after I gave my qualifying presentation? It's meaningless now.
