i shouldn't resent it when students come ask me questions in office hours, even if i feel like it ought to be my quiet time to do my own homework. it isn't. it's time for them to ask me questions. that's why the door's open.

i especially shouldn't resent it when i wasn't actually doing my homework before they showed up.

but why do i have to explain basic physical principles? should you even be in this course if you haven't had cell bio? or even chem 1a?

also, augh stop asking me what's on the quiz! i'm not lying! i don't get to see them in advance! the professor probably hasn't even written it yet!

I was a mean, mean, mean TA. When people asked me if something was going to be on the test, I would shrug and grin and say, "I'm afraid that's not my problem. My job is to teach you the material, not teach you tests."

When they asked if it was going to be on the MCAT, I would say, "I have structured my life so as not to have to care what is on the MCAT."

Because I am just that mean.

Wow, that really is mean.

I like it.

No one has ever asked me about the MCAT, but if anyone ever does I may have to steal your response.

If I remember correctly, it was a premed who tried to put ice down the back of my neck, the one and only time I TAed intro chemistry lab. Gosh, was that ten years ago already?
