-: Cannot figure out how to automate activation/deactivation of external monitor.
--: GNOME panel applets shuffle themselves around when external monitor manually activated/deactivated.

+++: Have bicycle.
-: Cafe in easy bike distance crowded with teenagers. (Am Old.)

+: It's fun to kill completely unused arguments to functions.
-: make -k doesn't work correctly with Moz's build system, making above less fun.
-: Apparently no way to make C-x ` skip over warnings.

Re: external monitor: Apparently it takes some unfortunate amount of power to keep the VGA port sufficiently enabled to magically notice when a monitor is plugged in to it. I just stuck "xrandr --auto" into a button on my panel, and then tap it at appropriate moments.
