I thought you didn't play video games at all...? We've only tried it on Pam's gigantic laptop with boring old Windows XP on it, but it's been reliable.

Normally no, but I needed something brain-killing and it's seemed to get good reviews along axes that video games generally don't.

Gotcha. How are you attempting to run it? I'm pretty sure it is doing weird stuff under the hood for copy protection or something -- wouldn't expect it to work in Wine for instance.

Supposedly it does work in Wine (and I, uh, tested with a cracked copy anyway, because of a disinclination to drop $20 on a coaster). The problem seems to be that intel 3d drivers kinda suck, but I'm not buying a whole 'nother computer for this purpose, so...
