I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to answer my previous question about the best way to draw boxes with dotted lines, when you can’t make them come out perfectly. That discussion ended with a jury split — most of you liked either big dots at the clockwise end or corner gaps to avoid big dots, but there wasn’t any agreement about which of those two was better. I’ve got to pick one, so I’ve drawn much more thorough examples of those two options, and I would like to ask you to consider again which you like better.

Big dots at the clockwise endCorner gaps to avoid big dots

If the corner gaps are at the clockwise end, then I guess they're a little worse than the big dots.

singly, i think i still prefer the corner gaps -- but i am not sure, anymore, because en masse, i definitely, definitely prefer clockwise dots.

In my sleepy-fuzzied state, I'm preferring the left-hand set. The color is even, even if the geometry looks likely off from the clipped corners.

I think I'll have to support the clockwise big dots.

I still vote for corner gaps, but I certainly wouldn't think twice about the clockwise dots.

Both look good, though I still think the big dots versions look more comfortingly rectangular.
