I'm going to be at loose ends in Chicago for a day and a half next week (Friday, and Saturday until I have to go to the airport).

Do you know cool things and/or people in Chicago? What should I do?

When suzimoses and I were in Chicago a couple of years ago, we went to the Field Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum of Science and Industry. I'd highly recommend all three of them, according to your tastes; particularly the first two.

Field Museum. Art Institute. Fermi Lab. And when I was there for four hours in June, Bill Higgins and I went briefly to an architecture museum that's just down the street from the railway station and which has a model of the whole city and is really cool.
